Scar Revision

Scars resulting from surgery or injury may become more visible for a variety of reasons: excessive strain on the wound, repair technique, infection or opening of the wound. Dr. Nicolaidis will review the patient’s scars and make recommendations. They can often be significantly improved by excising them and then closing the wound in multiple layers (to minimize tension) or by using “zigzag” incisions to break up the scar. $100/cm.
